We have the desire to be a family to those who have none. In a family there is love, care and protection. We believe it is the place to find your identity. To discover who you are and where you come from. And to discover the reason you live.

In the city of Goma where we have our base, there are many street children, orphans, abandoned children, former child soldiers and children living in extreme poverty. We want to see the one and build relationship with the child or teenager. For each one we are searching for a unique way to be involved in his or her life. We are listening to their story. We provide food, clothes, schooling or a home. This can either mean that we are that home and family ourselves, or we find a home and see children adopted into new families. Or we build a place where they can live and be cared for.

In all we do we want to communicate the love and faithfulness of our Heavenly Father. We help them to find answers for their life, to discover who they are. We teach them how to have a relationship with God, how to reach their destiny and be a changemaker by carrying God’s presence.

One of our ways to be involved in the life of a group of youth is through practical carpentry training and daily discipleship. We have been building relationship with young people in our neighborhood. Most of them are living on the street. We are investing in their lives by training them spiritually and teaching them about Jesus, the Bible, and how to live with God. Moreover, as many of them don’t have had any education, we want to provide a vocational training for them. They will learn to make furniture, giving them an opportunity to find a job and become self-reliant. We have a piece of land in the west of the city of Goma. We plan to build a classroom and a workshop there, so we can start providing the trainings.
